Gio Reyna squad selection
I want Pochettino to drop Gio Reyna in to start the game. Start the game. And it's literally a sink or swim moment. If you're going to bring him into the camp and he's not playing club football regularly, then really put him to the test.
Chris Wondolowski vs Landon Donovan
There was a lot more pressure on him in particular because when you leave out a player like Landon Donovan who would have been in that role and who's got ice in his veins, you felt like if it fell to Landon Donovan in that exact situation he would finish.
2014 World Cup tactics
Juergen Klinsmann inexplicably takes out the guy that, at least from a center back perspective, is just doing a nice job of being hard for us to play against, blocking passing lanes. He takes out Beckerman and puts in Jeff Kerman because Jeff Kerman had played against Marwan Fellaini a few times in the Premier League. Unacceptable.
USMNT tactics
I want to see what the attacking trio in terms of the two 10s and Balogun, what that looks like. The relationship, how many chances are they creating? How often are they interchanging? That for me is going to dictate how we play in the attacking third in the World Cup.
Johnny Cardoso form
Johnny Cardoso has not performed in a U.S. shirt. It just simply hasn't. Now he's playing at Atletico Madrid and I think that Pochettino is finally going to give him the opportunity to go out and see if he can finally put in a performance that gives you confidence.
Chris Wondolowski 2014 miss
When you're playing international football, you're only going to get one chance, one chance. That was his one chance, unfortunately. And I don't blame Chris Wondolowski for that mischance. Every chance that you get in front of a goal, especially in that situation, those are the ones that defined a team going to the next round or not.
USMNT player versatility
For me and Pochettino's system, I feel like right center back is where I'm so comfortable already. I've practiced being comfortable in both areas and being able to just be the best and fulfill whatever I'm needed on this team.
Romelu Lukaku form
I looked up Lukaku's stats. I saw 89 goals for his country in 120 something games. I was like that can't be right. I mean this guy gets so much grief for all the chances he misses, the dude's got 89 goals for his country.
Kevin De Bruyne
I don't want to hear that he doesn't look like he is a world-class athlete. Take it back, Jimmy. I got to go to the Etihad two seasons ago and Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland absolutely destroyed that Arsenal side. KDB was dropping dimes, moving around effortlessly.
You put Kevin De Bruyne in a polo and some nice khakis, he's managing an Office Depot for sure. I can totally see him doing it and doing it well, by the way.
