USMNT vs Belgium match analysis
We started out really well, but we just never came out in the second half. They rolled us over and there wasn't a lot of positives you can take from the second half outside of Pepi getting the assist to Agyemang. Besides that, it was a forgettable game.
Matt Turner's goalkeeping form
To not have played 13 games and get your first game, you're going to be up for it and excited. And to have five goals banged on you is going to be a confidence killer for sure. It'll be interesting to see what happens in the next game versus Portugal.
USMNT mentality
When we got punched in the mouth, it didn't look like we got back up and were ready to swing again. It was almost like we were just on the ropes, trying to survive in that second half.
USMNT vs Portugal preview
We got embarrassed today. There's no way around that. How are we going to react to play against a Portugal side that some might pick to possibly win the World Cup? You learn a lot about your team when your back's against the wall.
USMNT defensive struggles
Missing Chris Richards in the back in the second half was clearly seen there. We got spread out, got caught on the counter at times, and just kind of played through—not getting tight, not getting stuck in, just not fighting enough.
Christian Pulisic's form
Christian Pulisic is putting pressure on himself, but that's what comes with the territory. You go through periods where it's a little bit of a slump, and the only way you can get back on is to keep shooting the ball, keep emptying the clip, and eventually one goes in.
Tactical approach for USMNT
If you don't have the quality to attack and high press, you need to figure out a way to stay compact, be difficult to break down, and then counterattack. You can't get stretched too much and leave everybody exposed.
USMNT player motivation
If you've got to talk to somebody to motivate them, then they shouldn't be in the locker room. You know what you've got in front of you. You want to test yourself against the best players in the world.
Tactical analysis of Tim Ream
If you're going to play Tim Ream, you need speed around him. You either go with a back three or you try to have players around him that can make up for it with that pace and speed because otherwise, any half-decent team is going to expose us.
USMNT striker depth chart
I still think Balogun is the complete striker and gives you more, but I'm not the coach. I'm not in training every day seeing what these players are doing.
