World Cup 2026 expectations
That is our objective, is to win the World Cup. But with basic fundamentals and principles and values that you can make that be close to win.

If you say to me if I am the president of FIFA I say we avoid the names. It's the number one, the number two, the number three... and no names, names, names because I think it's different. Soccer is football is about to unify people.

What we are going to do is to try to be firm with our values, our way to see the things, and to try to create the best roster, the roster that is going to fight, believing that we can win.
Team building / Philosophy
I use sometimes the hockey example, when I saw the miracle, when the coach said, we don't need the best player, we need the right players in the roster. And to create that chemistry.
Tactical approach / Friendlies
Friendly is a bad word in the competition. In professional soccer, if you believe that it's a friendly game, you don't give your best because there is no consequence. But you need to play with consequence.
Tactical analysis / Training standards
We need to create that stress and to put the stress in every single training session. They need to feel like the organization too, that we need to perform in our best.
Player mentality
If you want to give your extra step and energy, it's because you need to feel something here. If you don't feel here, I have a talent, I can have a good life playing soccer. Okay, you can be a good player, but not a world champion.
World Cup 2026 roster depth
We manage a pool of 75, 80 players and we really know. If someone is not ready or if someone is not in the best form, I think we always have players that we know how they are going to perform.
World Cup preparation
If you have a federation that is going to help your friends and family get to the World Cup, watch you at the World Cup, leave you alone at the World Cup... you have a huge leg up on all of the rest of the competition.
