BY TRAIN (RECOMMENDED)
NJ Transit from Penn Station
The fastest and most convenient option: NJ Transit's Meadowlands Rail Line runs direct from Penn Station (Midtown Manhattan) to the Meadowlands Sports Complex station, which is a short walk from the stadium entrance. Journey time: approximately 35 minutes. Trains run frequently on match days with special World Cup services. This is the option FIFA recommends for international fans.
BY BUS
Port Authority Bus Terminal
NJ Transit buses depart regularly from the Port Authority Bus Terminal on 42nd Street in Manhattan. The journey to the Meadowlands takes 30–45 minutes depending on traffic. Bus services are heavily supplemented on match days. This is a cheaper alternative to the train and useful if you are travelling from areas of Manhattan not near Penn Station.

Driving and Parking
MetLife Stadium is accessible via Route 3 and NJ Turnpike Exit 16W. The Meadowlands sports complex has vast parking lots (over 28,000 spaces) but expect significant congestion on Final day. Parking costs are substantial for major events. International fans are strongly encouraged to use public transport — driving into the Meadowlands on World Cup Final day will be one of the most congested roads in North American sporting history.

Prices will be elevated significantly around the Final, so booking 12–18 months in advance is strongly recommended. Times Square, Hell's Kitchen, and the Hudson Yards areas are all close to Penn Station for the NJ Transit connection to MetLife.
Fan Festival NYC
FIFA traditionally hosts a Fan Festival in the host city's main public space. For New York / New Jersey, the Fan Festival is expected to be held in Central Park or along the Hudson River waterfront — creating one of the most spectacular fan park settings in World Cup history. International fan zones will be established across Manhattan for the duration of the tournament.
New Jersey Accommodation
Newark, Jersey City, and the towns surrounding the Meadowlands offer additional hotel capacity for fans attending MetLife. Newark Airport (EWR) is one of three airports serving the New York metro area — many international fans flying in for the Final will land at EWR and find themselves within 20 minutes of MetLife Stadium.
