Mohamed Salah MLS rumors
I was in Tampa for some of the league meetings that were going on this week, and I ended up catching Commissioner Don Garber for about 10 minutes. He said, 'If he thinks they're irrelevant, I'm happy to give them an Apple login so that they can actually start to watch the games.'
Antoine Griezmann to Orlando City
When I said this earlier on in the season, I would toss my season in the trash in exchange for Antoine Griezmann. I mean, that's how good I think he's going to be.
MLS global perception
We've got dozens of players who came through MLS teams playing in Europe. We've got some of the best players in the world playing here. I've been dealing with skepticism for 27 years. It's never stopped me, and it never will.
Orlando City roster construction
Orlando City doesn't fix defensive issues. It doesn't fix the fact that they have a bottom-third starting goalkeeper in Major League Soccer. It doesn't fix the fact that they have some serious questions about how they will progress upfield.
Philadelphia Union transfer window
I'm going to go with the Philadelphia Union as the worst window. It is such a gut punch to lose as many players as they did and to replace them with so many question marks after you won the Shield.
Sporting Kansas City roster issues
Sporting Kansas City has been so slow to just fill that roster. There was just something that was so bizarre in real time watching this team just look like they forgot the season started on the day it started.
FC Dallas transfer window
I don't think Santi Moreno is a DP-level attacker in Major League Soccer. I think he's a very good player, but it's just such a shame that Petar Musa is as good as he is and he's not getting everything that you have to go and help elevate this team.
Real Salt Lake transfer window
Real Salt Lake changed their status from being a team that is competing just to get above that play-in line to a team that credibly could catch any of the projected top four in the conference.
Nashville SC transfer window
Nashville made the jump that's the hardest to make, which is from a very, very good team who's sort of contending for the Shield to being a team that is genuinely rubber-stamped as a contender.
Columbus Crew transfer window
I'm going to go with Columbus because I think it was a very disappointing window. They went from a team that seemed like they had a really coherent multi-year vision to one that's maybe just figuring that out in real time.
Colorado Rapids transfer strategy
It feels like a pretty classic Colorado Rapids move to me, in the sense that it's looking at someone who maybe isn't getting utilized as often as most players expect to be, and therefore you assume that maybe there's more upside than what's been shown.
