Tottenham relegation battle
Spurs have picked up one point from their last seven games. You have to call that they're getting relegated at this point. Something has to change.
Arsenal's trophy drought
From Arsenal's perspective, it is a psychological blow. They've still not won a trophy under Arteta since that first season with the FA Cup. To put down a marker against Man City in a Cup final would have been quite significant.
Tottenham transfer failures
Spurs in the summer, the three players they missed out on were Morgan Gibbs-White, Eberechi Eze, and Antoine Semenyo. It's just so ridiculous that these guys who Spurs were so desperate for in the summer are now just contributing to their downfall.
Chelsea transfer rumors
There's also perhaps a talk that Dibu Martinez might leave and Kuti Romero we might see an Argentinian exodus in the summer and Enzo Fernandez might be one of the leading players doing it.
Pep Guardiola's psychology
I think it was a very deliberate move to get that yellow and celebrate like crazy over that goal not because he was just happy, but it's because he psychologically wants to tell Manchester City and his fan base that today is Manchester City's day.
Newcastle United form
Newcastle just went really flat. They had no energy whatsoever, no ideas, barely any shots in the second half and they were booed off at full time.
Liverpool form
Liverpool are just a team this season that have no fight and no real sense of aggression, especially away from home. They are just a completely docile Liverpool.
Man City form
It was amazing how they sort of just upped that tempo for those 20 minutes at the start of the second half. It was a bit of a lesson and a bit of a reminder not to write City off as many people have been doing.
Aston Villa Champions League race
I think the most important factor is that Villa won at Villa Park, not conceded, a second consecutive win in all competitions, and most importantly, a six-point buffer over Chelsea and a five-point buffer over Liverpool before the international break.
Bournemouth season stats
Bournemouth, by the way, following that draw with United, become only the second team in Premier League history to have had both an 11-match unbeaten run and an 11-match winless run in the same season.
